28 Oct Warming beet and carrot juice
Warming beet and carrot juice is one of my greatest discoveries. It’s not only superhealthy, but much more tasty that the raw version. It’s a perfect compliment to any cold day, so it is really worth it to implement it in your menu during autumn and winter.
Ingredients (2 servings)
1 large beet root, peeled and cut into smaller pieces
1 large carrot, peeled and cut into smaller pieces
1 large apple, peeled, seeds removed, and cut into smaller pieces
juice from half or whole lemon
Recipe
1. Put beetroot, carrot and apple through a juicer
2. Pour into a small a saucepan and gently heat till warm. Do not allow to boil.
3. Remove from heat, season with lemon juice and serve immediately
