Healthy smoothie with beet and carrot

Healthier version of traditional, fruity smoothie with addition of superhealthy beet and carrot. Because of the addition of lemon, taste of beet is not noticeable, but smoothie is packed with all the power from the beet. And it’s ideal as a post-yoga snack 🙂

In order to prepare this smoothie, you will need high speed blender. Regular blenders unfortunately won’t be able to blend beet and carrot unitl smooth.

Ingredients:
around 200 ml of yoghurt or buttermilk
1 small beet, peeled
1 small carrot, peeled
4-5 apricots or nectarines
sweetener of choice (honey,, dates, etc.)
juice from one lemon

Recipe:
1. Blend beet and carrot first
2. Add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth
3. Serve immediately
